MONOCHROME SHIRT

These last few days has been absolutely gorgeous. I love sun, I really do – especially during winter. I had no chance but take advantage of the beautiful sunset. Many photographers say that taking pictures just before the sun sets down, is the best time to take pictures because the light is gorgeous. Well, I agree with them, because the sunlight really gave a magical atmosphere to these pictures. What comes to my outfit, I was inspired by monochrome. My dear blouse has been in my closet for a long time – thank God I didn't sold it because monochrome is back. I don't follow trends. Don't get me wrong, but it feels great to wear something that is everyones mind.

MARNI x H&M

I made pretty awesome found from flea market last tuesday: a skirt from the Marni x H&M collection. I remember when the collection arrived: there were so many delightful prints and textures that just blew my mind away. Unfortunately I didn't manage to buy anything from that collection but it's okay now because I have a beautiful skirt that cost me only four euros.

FYI! Did you notice any difference with my photos? Well, Canon loaned me their 85mm F/1.8 lens, which in my opinion is pure magic. This lens is absolutely amazing, and trust me, I'll buy this lens as soon as I get the money haha.

TGIF! It's good to be back in Helsinki. A little break never hurts but let admit, it's always nice to go back to basics. While I was at my little break, I found pretty awesome accessories from H&M. H&M has become one of my favorite places to find statement pieces to spice on up any outfit. I was pretty surprised that I bought two earrings – maybe it was about time to start using more accessories than just necklaces. The third accessory is a necklace with faux diamonds – can't wait to wear it!

3 X TURTLENECK

You guys have seen me wearing turtlenecks a lot and I gotta tell you, I love them! Wearing turtleneck without looking like a middle school student is a piece of cake. So, inspired by turtlenecks, I created three outfits together and gave each of them a theme which helps you to see the my vision.

Happy Wednesday everyone! For the past week, I've been spending my time in eastern of Finland and tomorrow I'll be heading back to Helsinki. It was so nice see my friends and family – felt like breath of fresh air! Before I came here, I knew that I had to pack my favorite coat which was purchased from Cubus over a month ago. Because this coat is not available to everyone, I found pretty similar coat here. It has the same sort of print and colors so hopefully you guys like it!

My outfit of the day is pretty simple: flared jeans, white tee and black blazer – timeless, if you ask me. Somedays I don't feel like "dressing up" so I always go back to the basics that feel comfortable 24/7.

THE CATHEDRAL

This outfit was taken many days ago with my friend who was the genius behind the camera. These pictures were taken from the outside of Helsinki Cathedral, which became my favorite place to take pictures. The architecture is so beautiful, and because the cathedral is white, it gives a beautiful contrast to the outfit.

On that day, I wanted to wear something warm, chic and comfortable. My favorite coat from Cubus was the  perfect choice for this outfit. One of the best things in this coat is the length - you can wear the coat with skirts and dresses without being afraid of...well you ladies know what I mean haha.
To give a colorful contrast between the coat, I knew my faux leather pants would bring the trophy home. They are by far the best faux leather pants I've ever worn and believe me, these are so comfortable! You know what some people say in the fashion world that try to wear same colored shoes with your pants so it gives illusion of longer looking legs. Well, unfortunately I don't own burgundy colored shoes, so I paired my ankle boots from Dinsko. Even thought these boots are faux leather, they are pretty awesome because I haven't seen any marks of wear and tear.

OMBRE HAIR MADE IN HOME

38 comments:

I feel like reborn, thanks to my new ombre hair. Couple days back, I bough a Loréal Paris Wild Ombrés Preference hair dye. I was pretty nervous in the beginning because I don't dye my hair at home – I mostly go straight to a hair styler who does the magic for me. Luckily I had my sister to help me – imagine how the bathroom floor would have looked like after dyeing the hair all by myself haha. So, how do you guys like my new ombre hair? I absolutely LOVE IT! :)

FAUX FUR & LEATHER

41 comments:

Yesterday was pretty exceptional day : I wore a faux leather jacket and fur coat for the day. That particular combo is perfect from spring and fall but for winter...you're kidding me, right? It goes like this : I went to a bus stop, wearing my faux fur coat from Asos.com and I was sweating. I was like "hell no, I'm dealing this ****" so I went to change the outerwear. I don't know what happened when I decided to wear that particular combo but I have to admit I wasn't freezing even though it felt little bit cold. When I decided to go home around 7PM, I was still feeling okay even though the weather was colder. What can I say...I'm still pretty shocked that I didn't shake like chihuahua :D But yeah...let's hope I won't get sick.

RINGA DRESS & MINK HAIRBAND

One of my fashion inspirations is the one and only, Sandra Hagelstam who is the genius behind the blog 5 inch and up. Her collaboration collection with Nelly.com was amazing, and I wanted to buy so many clothes from that collections, especially the Ringa Dress but unfortunately it was way too high for my budget until now...

Because, something crazy happened few days ago : I found out that Nelly.com were having a campaing where 100 dresses cost 9,95 for each. I almost fainted when I saw the Ringa Dress for 9,95! It took me less than a second to add the dress to my shopping box haha. I also found out that the Mink Hairband, which was also part the collection was -50% off – I had to get it too. Oh boy, I'm so happy! Can wait to show the dress to you guys!

TWEED SKIRT

For my outfit of they day, I wanted to wear something with pop of color because the weather has been super grey. I went totally ding dong over the skirt which is part of the new SS13 collection from Minni f. Ronya. It has really nice tweed texture and Chanel -vibe to it. This skirt was also featured in a finnish fashion magazine, Costume. The skirt cost 179 euros which is a amazing deal because : not only you are getting a well made clothes but you are also supporting finnish fashion industry!
