TOMBOY GOES CHIC

63 comments:

Ever since I got my boyfriend jeans from New Yorker, I've wanted to try different ways to wear them. I was thinking an outfit that was really tomboy-ish but had a feminine touch to make the outfit really chic and perfect for...Sunday brunches!

Because New Yorker doesn't have online store, I found pretty awesome pair of boyfriend jeans. I actually think these type of jeans look better with light denim, don't you think? I know spring has sprung, but it doesn't mean that we could survive wearing only a t-shirt. This sweatshirt is super wicked and the message in the shirt is even better! I love these two together because it really gives this tomboy feel to the outfit.

To make the outfit chic, I paired the outfit an awesome pair of Jeffrey Campbell which, in my opinion, look more what Alexander Wang's would design – at least these are way cheaper haha. To bring more femininity; a statement necklace and simple earrings are your...best...friend. They totally give the girly touch and balances the cozy sweatshirt and the jeans.

And what an outfit would be without a vintage Chanel

IT'S ONLY BUSINESS

Those are the two worlds that came into my mind after seeing these pictures. :D In a way, it's a bit too formal for casual day but who said you can't "break the rules" sometimes. I've become really obsessed by my recent necklace from Mango. I really hope my other necklaces aren't jealous because I haven't shown them any attention for these past few days.

You guys know that I've been using Canon's  50mm 1.2L lens? Well, these pictures were the last ones we managed to capture before I had to return it. I absolutely fell in love with the lens even though there were couple of things I wasn't so happy about.

Let's talk about the positive things about this incredible lens. This lens has en exceptional build quality with a dust and moisture proof outer shell and a very smooth focus ring. When I had my 50mm 1.8, I hated the fact that it felt like a toy and the focus ring did a horrible noise.

Even though this is the sharpest 50mm lens I've ever used at very wide apertures, it was very sensitive to movement. My new friend, Valtteri shot these photos and even though he had a steady hand, even the tiniest movement made the picture go out of focus. I watch a video review about this lens and they actually recommend on using this lens on manually! Oh man, now feel even more sad. Because I only had less than I week to explore this lens, I didn't have time to practice and really try to understand the lest even more and get the best from it.

Another thing that's also sad is the actual price. This monster lens costs over 1400 euros!

Do you guys remember when I mentioned the two items which I found from the bloggers flea market? Well, I'm wearing one of them right now – can you guess? Of course! The pants, and not just any pants : these are the 'pine' pants from the 5 inch and up x Nelly collection.

I remember when this collection arrived to Nelly.com and I was so sad that I couldn't afford to buy anything but now I have three items from that collection : The 'Ringa' dress, 'Mink' hairband and 'Pine' pants! I absolutely fell in love with these pants and they totally inspired me to create this outfit.

Hello guys! Weekend is over but it's okay – I'm very happy at the moment! In a past few weeks, lot things have happened which I'll be talking to you guys later. ;) If you live in Finland, I'm sure you knew about the "bloggers flea market" where Finnish bloggers were selling their old clothes, shoes etc. I was there as a buyer but I already knew what I was getting because I made a reservation on one item. ;D I end up leaving with two items from the same blogger, Aurora. Thanks to her, I have two things I've wanted for so long – don't worry, I'll show them really soon here! :)

For my outfit, I got inspired by one of my favorite bands, Muse. Do you guys listen Muse? Anyways, I wanted to wear their fan shirt  because I wanted my outfit to be carefree which a though behind it. ;) The colors in the shirt really helped me to create an rock-ish outfit with feminine touch. The shirt itself is very powerful and masculine (well...it's mens shirt :D ) so with the help of my lilac faux fur and right accessories, the outfit was complete.

Bonjour tout le monde! I hope your weekend has been delightful, and even though it's Sunday, doesn't mean the weekend is over. ;) I remember the times when I got so upset on Sunday because the next day was Monday. Thank God I realized that Sunday is a full day of freedom so why not enjoy it! We took these pictures yesterday, and may I say that this lens just makes me go sad and happy on and off. The reason why I am happy is that the lens is perfect and I absolutely want to have for the rest of my life but the sad fact is that this lens is mine until Tuesday. :( Oh why Canon? Why did you made this lens? I try to enjoy now that I can because who know when will be the next time when I and 50mm f/1.2L meet again.

Do you guys remember when I told in my Facebook page about my visit at the VIP opening party for New Yorker? Well, if you didn't, why are you still here?! Go like my Facebook page so you'd know about these things right away! ;) Anyways, what was I saying...oh yeah so basically I got to choose one garment from the store and I chose boyfriend jeans. I freaking love these jeans! I feel so chic and strong wearing them! :D You guys remember these jeans? Well, I got rid off them because they were hip jeans which isn't my favorite jeans cut. These are just perfect; they are high waisted and, they are loose from the right places, just how boyfriend jeans should be!

Hi everyone! It's finally Saturday, which means time for some outfits!! Canon let me test drive their amazing 50mm f/1.2L lens, but I like to called "the Sandra lens" – you guys do know 5 inch and up blog, right? Anyways, Sandra told me that this lens is the best in the world, and yesterday, when we took these pictures, my friend, Ville was amazed by this lens too. One thing I need work on is that the lens is very sensitive to movement, but I think practice and patience will do just fine.

For my outfit, I wanted to wear something casual but chic because me and my friend, Ville we going shop around Helsinki. Overall, this outfit is very casual, but the statement necklace really gives a nice touch to the outfit. I must say, I love this necklace even more than the another one, because it's just so gorgeous and bold!

Hi everyone! First of all, let me start saying I'm very sorry I haven't been posting outfits but I can explain. The weather has been cold and windy, and I can only imagine how my face would look like in the pictures. :D I promise that you'll see more outfits later this week. :)

If you are my friend on facebook (click here), you knew I bought two items yesterday. These two items are from Mango, and may I say:  Mango belt my heart.

Yesterday, before I went to the gym, I decided to kill time at the shopping centre and went to Mango because it was the closest store. Then, I remember that Jenni showed this gorgeous statement necklace is her blog and I went crazy over it. I decided  to check out the jewelries and voilà, there it was; the gorgeous statement necklace that took my breath away.

It's pretty amazing how it looks so expensive when it cost less than 40 euros . And speaking of looking expensive, so does the another necklace! This crystal embellished transparent necklace is so beautiful and it will make any t-shirt look worth of 100 dollars. :D

Thank you, Mango!

Hi lovelies! Do you guys remember the Daniel Wellington Giveaway in my blog a while ago? Well, they wanted to thank me for doing such a great job with hosting so they gave me a watch of my choice. I chose the classic sheffield watch with rose gold in it. This watch is absolutely gorgeous and I seriously can't wait to use it. Oh, and isn't the new designed watch box amazing?

THE BEGINNING FOR A BAG HUNT

56 comments:

Hi lovelies! This post is really special because it was requested. As I mentioned before on my Facebook page, one of my dear readers, asked if I could make a post about luxury bags. Because there are so many; Chanel, Givenchy, Céline...the list could go on and on, so unfortunately this post would never be 100% perfect. Imagine how looooooong this post would actually be if all the gorgeous bags were featured in this article?! :D So. Some of these bag have been hyped in the blogging world for a long time now, but I think they are really timeless, chic, edgy and most important thing: versatile.

We all dream about this one bag that has it all, because let's be honest; bags are expensive so we ladies need a bag that can be ten different bags - we just need to know how to pair it. ;)

The first bag is the Alma bag from Louis Vuitton. From the minute, I saw this bag, I had no words. It's so elegant, iconic and chic bag. You can get this bag in many different colors but unfortunately, they are not available in every county. :( I selected three bags that were made from vernis leather and two from epi. The reader requested colorful bags, but I tried to think also the fact that the color has to be settle so the pairing is much more fun! :) Even though these colors are really settle, there will be more colorful bags – just keep reading...unless if you are feeling tired already. :D

GET THE BAG
I haven't seen this bag in many blogs – or then I just haven't found them yet. This bag is Marion by Alexander Wang. I love this bag because it's edgy, fun and really chic! And, you can choose this bag in many different colors, and in my opinion, this bag looks amazing in any color so go ahead and try blue or mustard!

GET THE BAG
The Muse Tote by Saint Laurent Paris (SLP). I still can't believe it's not YSL anymore. But anyways, this bag was unfamiliar to me before the research for this article. I fell in love with the bag because it has feminine and masculine side to it. It kind of reminds me from briefcase but then another hand, an elegant handbag. This bag can be worn as a shoulder bag as well which is great! The colors are so delicious so no matter what the color is, it's super chic!

GET THE BAG
First, I wasn't sure will I feature Hour bag by 3.1 Phillip Lim, but because this bag comes in many different colors, not too expensive, it's spacious and it also has simple but still edgy design, it deserved to be in this post. I first discovered this bag from Sandra's blog. She showed this bag can be worn as a clutch! I think this bag is perfect if you have to carry your laptop or your paper files with you. And, this bag is great choice for after work – thanks to the rolled double handles, you have secured hold to your belongings.

GET THE BAG

This was the first bag by Alexander Wang that made me love him! The Rocco Duffel bag, oh man, where to begin? This bag is the  perfect choice for you if you want a bag to be edgy! That's is literally the only word how to describe this bag. The gorgeous bottom, covered with studs just makes a heart go weak. This bag is so spacious, and thanks again to the rolled double handels, you can carry anything! :D There are many different hardwares and COLORS  to choose from and I guarantee that this bag will turn heads!

BROWN BOOTS

74 comments:

I haven't got the chance to show you my new leather boots which I found from the sales in Zara. You know what's funny? All my shoes that are from Zara, where bought from the sales. :D Looks like I'm pretty lucky when it comes to finding my size from the sales for cheap price. These boots cost 20 euros which is definitely a match made in heaven. The only problem – if I have to name one – is that the bottoms are pretty slippery but after walking awhile, they aren't so slippery.

So basically, I created my outfit around these boots. I think brown boots look extremely chic with blue jeans. The combination is like water and sand so no wonder they match so well. :D And speaking of nature, have you ever been inspired by nature when comes to creating your outfit of the day?

THE BLUE HAT

If I could choose any other place right now, it would be a place with gorgeous sun and beaches. Somehow I've got fed up with the cold and I'm sure, I'm not the only one who feels that way. Thank God, we are almost in the middle of March and before we know it, April is here. I'm so ready to say goodbye to my winter coat and welcome my leather jacket and parka – let's just hope that Mother Nature is on our side and let us do so.

Because I wear same coats all the time – unfortunately, I don't have dozens of winter coats so thanks to the help of accessories, it's really easy to spice up any outfit. My new blue has made my day : I found it from the sales with a price tag of an euro – not bad at all! Ever since, I saw dear Chriselle wearing her BCBG MAXZRIA hat, I did what I had to do, find a blue hat. I never expected to find very similar hat for really cheap price.

Do you guys remember when I had the Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens? Well. I decided to test another lens and this time I rent it. These photos are taken with Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 L USM lens. It's really different compared to the 85mm but I like it very much. I'm still learning to use it but after watching some tutorial on youtube, I'll be more clear about this lens.

If you are interested on renting lenses, you should definitely go to Rajala Pro Shop,  Sanomatalo, which is next to the railway station. The staff is so nice and it's great to do collaboration with nice people.

MARCH'S LIVBOX

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend has been relaxing and fun! I had lot of fun at the REVS and after party and for some strange reason, my N9 didn't aloud me to use my facebook and twitter which was annoying! I need to get my phone fixed or I could always buy iPhone which I had been talking about. Few days ago, I received my March Livbox. Last month was so great and I even made a vlog about it. This month was also really nice because I got an liquid eyeliner which I've been missing. Now I don't have to worry about that anymore. Other things that I got were a shower gel, a shampoo for hair, a hald salve and a day cream. Thank you so much to Livbox for sending this - I can't wait to see what next box has inside! :)

NEW GOODIES

Hey lovelies! I hope your day has been great! Mine was nice because I saw a friend of mine who I haven't seen for very long time. We did some shopping and random stuff. One of the stores where we went was Cubus, because I still had some money on my gift card which I received when I was blogging for Finnish Cosmopolitan. I bought sports clothes, one monochrome shirt, bras and some jewelries because I love them. Do you guys remember this post? The orange necklace is one of my favorites at the moment, and now I got it in blue which I adore even more!! You guys know I don't wear earrings that often. Well...I bought new earrings just to motivate me to wear them more often.

WALLET HUNT

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend was wonderful! I took time for my family and myself. Nothing is better than episodes of your favorite series and glass(es) of red wine.

In the end of last month, I came to realize that I need a new wallet.

My Guess wallet has been a good friend to me but I need new wallet to keep my money save – a wallet with a zipper is the perfect choice for me!

I searched the wallets on Shopbop.com and I found eight wallets that made my heart melt. I have no idea which wallet should I choose... Could you guys help me out and let me know which one is your favorite. :)

OVER SHOULDER

106 comments:

Hi everyone! How was your Friday night? Mine was pretty simple: I had Ben & Jerry keeping me company and we watched many episodes of Glee. I love spending time by myself and because no matter what happens, you'll always have yourself. Did I really sound that pathetic haha.

Oh boy. For the longest time, I searched for a so called over shoulder blazer which you wear over your shoulders...haha did I just put that together for myself?? :D I went to flea market few days ago and I found something that gave me a fashion heart attack: royal blue, over shoulder blazer. Oh my GOD! Is this really happening? How did I managed to find it before anyone else? I think I had Fashion God by my side on that trip because this blazer is perfect. It's made in Finland which means the quality is beyond this planet. And guess how much was it. Well? Any guesses? It was only six euros!!!! SIX!!! OMG!

Hey guys! Friday is finally here which means we have time to ourselves and others. I think I'll spend my weekend with friends! :) Today I wanted to show you some of my favorites at the moment. If you follow me on youtube, you already knew that I ordered a livbox which is delivered to your door every month with goodies inside. Even though I already had the February box which was bought with my own money, I actually received the same box few weeks later as a gift. I was so happy to see the Essie nail polish wasn't the same color which means my Essie family has two members now haha! :D

Thank you for reading and I wish you all delightful weekend! xx
