WHAT I WANT

57 comments:

Hi Loves! Sorry for not being here but I'm still getting used to my new full time job. Before I had this job, blogging was my only full time job but now that I have two of full time jobs, it takes time to find time both of them. As much as I love blogging, one thing makes me wanting to take any pictures; the lens itself. I remember the day when I was complimenting my Sigma 30mm 1.4 from ground to heaven, but let me just say; this lens isn't the one for me. After doing several collaborations with Canon, I decided to invest for a new lens that has all the stuff that I need.

I never though, not even in million years that I'd invest so much money on DSRL and all the equipments but let me just point it out: it's worth it! For me, blogging is so much more that just writing and pictures. It's about expressing yourself the best way you can, and I can't do that without a lens that delivers all the things that I want.

The lens that I've been dying to have is so called "Sandra lens" – Sandra from 5 inch and up is using 50mm 1.2L lens, so what's better name for a lens than Sandra? :D

Anyways, I hope to get that lens pretty soon! I may test drive it once more before purchasing it, because it'll cost me a lot of money so I have to be 100000% sure that 50mm 1.2L is the lens for me.

I can't wait to get a new lens, because it'll give me so much energy to blog even more and deliver even more AMAZING PICTURES for you guys!

You're the best!

BEFORE THE RAIN

I don't know about you guys, but I've started to love rainy days. I've noticed that all the streets look so haunting and magical on a rainy day, and the way the rain reflects on the building is beautiful; it's like the walls are revealing their true colors.

Yesterday was rainy and windy day. I wasn't sad when I got out – I actually really happy! :) I don't know what made me so happy under the rain but I couldn't stop smiling.I love what I wore yesterday because of the color blocking between my hat and faux fur collar.

That combo really makes this outfit to stand out, especially on a grey, cloudy day. It's pretty crazy how something so small can change the whole mood in your outfit. I suggest that you go to your local H&M and buy cheap accessories like hats, collars and scarves, because those really give the final touches to your outfit.

My hat cost one euro and faux fur collar only three euros. I seriously couldn't live without these two. Thank you Jens for capturing these amazing pictures!

AUSSIE BLOG AWARDS

To be honest, I'm not sure how to start this article. When I was heading to Aussie Blog Awards to hang out with my friends, I knew that my favorite fashion blogger of all time, Sandra H. would be there, but when she actually came to say hi to me, I almost started to cry  – well...I did drop few of them but I never though I'd react that way. I read blogs, but Sandra is the only blogger that I truly feel inspired by. :D I'm so happy right now, and I literally can't wait to see her again.

The whole event was great! All the bloggers, inside the same building was pretty cool feeling. There were so many I wanted to talk to, but the night went so fast that I never got the chance. Luckily, there'll be many parties in the future. ;)

For my outfit, I was wearing Ringa Dress and mink hairband from 5 inch and up x Nelly - collection and the shoes were by Camilla Skovgaard. The clutch is from Gina Tricot – only reason why I got it was because it had the Wang thing going on.

GOODIES

For the past few weeks, I've tried so many things that I like! In this article, I wanted to share the best of them with you guys. Most of the products are for hair; ever since I got my hair makeover, I've been loving my hair. I want to make sure that I use the products that works best for my hair because it's really important that you take care of your hair.

Because I've been using so many things, I was thinking maybe having a giveaway? When I was the Aussie Blog Awards, we got awesome products from Aussie. Unfortunately, my shelves are full of shampoo's, conditioner and other things, so I was thinking why not having a giveaway where one lucky follower wins three products from Aussie and top of that a moisturizer for day and night by Finnish cosmetic brand, Lumene. I just bought them, but I haven't open them. Because I have Clinique 3-step system in my pocket, I don't want to confuse my skin by applying many different lotion everyday so that gave me the perfect chance to add them in to this giveaway.

I AM HERE

I feel so bad right now! I can't believe I haven't been here for a week! It's incredible how busy I've been with my work and everything and I really feel bad that I haven't been here. I hope you guys still look forward my articles and even though I may not be here all the time, I'm spend a lot of time on Twitter and Facebook, so make sure to follow me! :)

While we wait the pictures from the Aussie Blog Awards, where I got the privileged to meet and talk with the one and only, Sandra Hagelstam, I wanted to share these pictures with you that were taken yesterday. After work, my friend, AnnMarie met me and captured these pictures in this beautiful locatios in Helsinki, which I didn't know anything about until now. I felt like I was in Paris or something. What you guys think?

SLEET

Oh boy. Yep. That's right. I can't believe Mother Nature would do this to us?! Sleet, in April?! I'm not being a biAtch or anything but I though we already said goodbye to the cold, wet, annoying snow... My outfit wasn't ready for that weather – and I was wearing my Converse's for the first time. :D One thing I do appreciate more is my hat – I can only imagine what my hair would have looked like without my hat.

On that day, I met my doll, Johanna. We both are super busy nowadays so we barely see each other but when we do, it's awesome! We had so much fun talking, zipping our cappuccinos and just having a carefree Sunday afternoon. Of course, after our lovely coffee break, we had to capture our outfit picture in the sleet. Oh yeah, I love looove taking pictures when the snow is melting on your face, and you just feel your eyeliner and mascara running out. I really hope tomorrow is sunny, warm and spring-ish.

I can't wait to say goodbye the snow – won't be missing it.

Oh man, guys! Since my hair makeover, I've been loving and caring my hair more than ever! It's pretty crazy how a new hair can really make the difference. Somehow, I feel more confident and powerful than before – are you familiar with this feeling? The past six months, my life has been a roller coaster and now it's finally back on track! I got a job that I've been dreaming of for long time! In Helsinki, there's a exclusive boutique, called Boutique Kaarina K, which holds gorgeous clothes from Emilio Pucci, Giuseppe Zanotti, Giambattista Valli, Vercase to Balmain (and many more). Well, after long time of waiting for excitement of who they will hire, I was the one who got the job!! I can't remember when was the last time I was this happy! My dream has come true! I love job so much already even though it just started! :)

NEW LOOK

If you guys follow me on Twitter in here (@searchingforLBD) or on Facebook in here, you probably knew that I was getting a hair transformation yesterday. When Finnish stylish, fashion blogger, Vesa Silver contacted me and told me that I was chosen to be part of a Sunsilk campaign, I was more than excited! The idea was that I chose a celebrity look that inspired me to change my look. I knew I wanted to keep the ombre but I wanted it to be more lighter! I remembered that Leighton Meester had in one time, really awesome ombre hair that was close to my vision.

Now that I see the transformation, I am so happy! Many people told me that I should never cut my hair but to be honest, my hair was in pretty bad shape – split and dry ends...yuck! So let's just say that it was about time that I did something about it. Luckily this campaign was just what I needed and I can't thank enough for Samu, who made the vision coming true!

I truly recommend the salon, Dynastia, because of the awesome staff. For me, costumer service is the most important thing when it comes to any business! This place was amazing, and I can't wait to be back! :)

LESS IS MORE

Oh my, first of all sorry for being a little absent on the blog lately. I have so many things going on right now, so please forgive me. Taking outfit pictures would be less harder if I had a boyfriend who's a photographer haha. Please let me know if you know anyone who lives in Finland, is at least 21 years old and is a photographer – I'd be more than glad to know him. ;)

My today's outfit is really chill and easy-going. I wasn't in the mood of something super edgy – sometimes you just don't have the imagination or the motivation to pull off so called eye-catching outfit. My dear pants, which are from 5 inch and up x Nelly -collection, are so comfortable! They sure have that sports luxe thing going on which I love.

Sometimes as simple as pants, can really give a statement to the outfit, without taking it too far. I am sure you know the quote "less is more", and I think this outfit emphasize that quote pretty well, don't you think?
